When I awaken each morning
I get down on my knees
Keeping both my eyes closed
I need to see as God sees
Before looking in mirror
Seeking self to appease
I ask God to look deeper
I need to see as God sees
What do others think of me
Those of higher degrees
No need to examine myself

At day’s end He will ask
Settle accounts if you please
Did I help or hurt someone
