You sinned so very greatly
I had to turn my face
I could not call you mine
You were truly a disgrace
You asked for my forgiveness
Yet you had no gift to give
So let me put it plainly
I should not have let you live
But then I did consider
That I left you free to choose
And could I ever blame you
If your freedom you abused
So I decided I would offer
A gift from you from me myself
After all the gifts you’d give me
Come right off of my own shelf
Nothing is really worthy
Nothing really will suffice
So I had to be the gift
I had to come as Christ
I was My own apology
I only give the best
And if you want forgiveness
You’ll come to Me and rest
Accept my own apology
The one I give to Me
Just say I thank you Lord
And then my child, you’re free

Ro 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Jas 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Ro 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
