Turn Invisible Moo into Meat

Only the Creator can do it
Only He can perform this feat
Make something from absolute nothing
Turn invisible moo into meat

We can season and stir lightly
We can cook at just the right heat
Only He makes void become substance
Turn invisible moo into meat

He doesn’t stop with one item
From cucumbers to red beet
Put oink, swish and cluck on the menu
Turn invisible moo into meat

Evolutionists will shout and laugh at you
Their theories are lies and deceit
Black cow eats green grass, get white milk
Because God turns invisible moo into meat

Genesis 1:1-3 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

Me or You

At the end of the day
Seeing things in rear view
I must ask myself
Did they see me
Or did they see You

I am so very charming
I have jokes that are new
I am witty and learned
Did they see me
Or did they see You

I drive what is fashionable
Things afforded by few
As they look at my wardrobe
Did they see me
Or did they see You

My opinions are valued
People quote me they do
Flesh is fed spirit is empty
Looking at me
They couldn’t see You

John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

The Vine

Look at all my beautiful branches
How the tentacles intertwine
He said because there is no fruit
I have to cut this piece of vine

But Lord they are so beautiful
I am sure we will get wine
He said not from leaves and branches
I must prune this pretty vine

But Lord it’s so attractive
And people know this branch is mine
He picked up the sheers and scissors
And cut my favorite piece of vine

I told him Lord you hurt me
Down to my core into my spine
He continued to inspect
Looking for fruit not leafy vine

And daily He surveys my life
Knowing what he expects to find
And though the results may please me
I am just a branch, He is the Vine

I must let repent of ego
Pride and self-pleasure cross the line
Yield, submit and yes surrender
Fruit comes only when abiding in the Vine

John 15:5 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

His

Some call you by title
Dr. Mr. or Ms.
But your Father has one name
He calls you His

Some know you by report
By your stuff you are known
Your Father has just one name
He calls you His own

Some see your failures
What you is and you ain’t
Your shortcomings God sees
And He calls you saint

Don’t bother with regret
Trying to impress all the others
Christ sees you as friend
He calls you sister and brother

You are my friends when you do the things I command you. I’m no longer calling you servants because servants don’t understand what their master is thinking and planning. No, I’ve named you friends because I’ve let you in on everything I’ve heard from the Father. John 15:11‭-‬15 MSG

Have it Your Way

You take pride in exerting your will
Instead of submitting to Mine
So the emptiness that you now feel
Is because you ignore the Divine

You take pleasure in having your way
In getting in the last word
Making sure they heard what you say
If you were silent it is Me they’d have heard

You plant seeds of what you call fruit
You water and watch over with care
But your harvest is all self-pursuit
You neglect self-denial and prayer

Take control if you want, I won’t deny it
I won’t force you into submission
Run your life as you will, go on try it
I only enter your life with permission

Proverbs 14:12 New King James Version (NKJV)
12 There is a way that seems right to a man,
But its end is the way of death.
Revelation 3:20King James Version (KJV)
20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

A New Anointing

The anointment is now with Ben Gay
When it used to be sweet oil
Repayment for the days
When I provided, worked and toiled

I have a more steadied pace
I take each step a little slower
I don’t have to win a race
I can keep my voice much lower

God’s grace provides the ease
My body and mind do feel His touch
Balms of healing for aching knees
Warm compresses are needed much

I delighted running for Him
But before I ran for self
His work accomplished much
Mine, just collections on a shelf

Enjoy the fruits of God’s sweet labor
Enjoy His comforts as you should
God continues to show favor
Rub on the right side, ooh, that feels good

Ecclesiastes 12: 1-6 Honor and enjoy your Creator while you’re
still young, Before the years take their toll and your vigor wanes,
Before your vision dims and the world blurs
And the winter years keep you close to the fire.

In old age, your body no longer serves you so well.
Muscles slacken, grip weakens, joints stiffen.
The shades are pulled down on the world.
You can’t come and go at will. Things grind to a halt.

Favor and Fault

I note his every fault
As I justify my favor
The evil he deserves
I’m glad he’s not my neighbor

He is dirty and he smells
He is ragged and quite rude
He is undisciplined unclean
Has a nasty attitude

No wonder he’s a failure
I earn the good that comes my way
He is obviously at fault
God favors me is what I say

Because I do what’s good
Avoid the evil that I see
I know God looks from heaven
Ignores him, and favors me

But to think so is truly sinful
For my Jesus teaches this
We live by grace unmerited favor
This simple truth I do still miss

By wanting to justify my favor
And remind him how far he’s fallen
I forget I am a sinner saved by grace
And hence I don’t fulfill my calling

To seek redemption and restoring
Dearest Father I truly plead
Father forgive his faults and failures
Show him favor, fulfill his need

Luke 18:11-14 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Ignore You Again

By this time it should not surprise You
After all, I just want to fit in
As the holiday seasons approaches
I will just ignore You again

I don’t want to be seen as religious
I just want to give and to get
After all, I have ignored You all year
Have You not gotten used to it yet?

I mention Your name when convenient
When I want something with lots of bling
And as we approach this Xmas
I have a whole list of things

So I will ignore You again, its tradition
It only make sense that I do
Halloween, Thanksgiving and Easter
What’s the difference its not about You!

You really won’t need me

I complain about my job
Just a low pay employee
God said if it fulfils you
You really won’t need me

I complain about my mate
My spouse is not what she should be
God said if she satisfies you
You really won’t need me

I complain about my children
I am always right, they don’t agree
God said if they mirrored you
You really won’t need me

I have made so many idols
On a pedestal for me to see
God said if I don’t destroy them
You really won’t need me

Exodus 20:3-5 (KJV)Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Luke 14:26 (KJV) If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

God Sees Differently

It is my observation
I am quite astute at this
I can judge and yes condemn
And rarely do I miss

I know how to discern
Between what’s good and truly bad
And so, when I am angry
I know that God is mad

I observe the deeds of men
Sins committed by the hand
I have a simple checklist
I keep score on how they stand

But God uses a different measure
He sees not who they’ve come to be
He sees how He can make them
That is how He measured me

When I damn those, I deem a failure
When I set myself apart
God reminds me He sees different
God measures from the heart

1 Samuel 16:7King James Version (KJV)
7 But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.
