It may sound just a bit absurd
And maybe to blaspheme
Inconsistent with God’s holy word
But consistent with a theme
How could the Holy Trinity
Be bothered with every call
Do they divide the work in three?
Are they listening to us all?
Do calls ever get lost or drop
Can the inbox overfill
Does their internet connection ever stop
If They forget to pay the bill?
Does the Creator God really care
That I am self-centered and self-righteous
Does He snicker at a selfish prayer
Then ignore it just to spite us?
I know I speak rhetorically
Comedic at it’s best
Of course God listens to every plea
So let’s put this to rest
None goes unnoticed, nor ignored
By this Holy Trinity
Of course You don’t do voicemail Lord
The one not listening is me
