The best enemy to have is Jesus. That is because Jesus treats anyone who considers Him an enemy as someone who needs forgiveness, tolerance and mercy. Jesus reaches out, does not strike out at those who want to do Him harm.
We need to be good enemies. We need to pray for those who abuse, accuse and disrespect us. We must have tender compassion, not passionate reaction to criticism and rejection.
Learn to a good enemy. Love those who hate you. That is what our Lord did.
But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,
